Abstract: We consider the Nelson model of a massless scalar Bose field interacting with two particles, one of them infinitely heavy. Neither an infrared (IR) nor an ultraviolet (UV) cutoff is imposed. In case the charge of the particles is sufficiently small (and of the same sign) we prove the existence of a ground state.
