Abstract: The two-dimensional Abelian sandpile model (ASM) is considered. The correlation functions of heights in the ASM are discussed. The method is based on Kirhhoff's theorem and a mapping the set of allowed sandpile configurations onto the set of spanning trees covering a given lattice. The correlation function P(1)P(2) was predicted in the logarithmic conformal field theory with C=-2. This result can be obtained by using Kirhhoff's theorem.
