Abstract: We will discuss the distribution of car distances predicted by various recent car parking models and confront it with results collected on streets in London and in Hradec Kralove. There is a fundamental disagreement between the predicted and observed results. Then we present simple "parking rules" and show that using it we are able to account for the observed results with high accuracy.
