Abstract:
Visual Quantum Mechanics systematically explores quantum
mechanics with the aid of modern visualization techniques.
In some cases the animations shed a new light on an old
subject, revealing unexpected features of well-known
systems. The main purpose of the project is of a
pedagogical nature, and it may help to push the teaching
of quantum mechanics to an even higher level. Among
other things, I am going to present new animations
of solutions of the Dirac equation, illustrating
phenomena like Lorentz contraction, Zitterbewegung,
and the Klein paradox.
